11 Another Sun
Waiting for the day when the new sun
will bloom and embrace the birds
DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
This work is an extension of the series that was selected as a Young Designer at the Seoul Design Festival. It started from a desire to escape the stifling reality. It contains the hope that we can overcome it if we unite with people who share the same purpose and love, rather than turning away from and denying reality. The wording 'Only Love' written on the front of the neck was heavy and then began to rise. I hope that we can bring out the 'energy of love' inside me and welcome another sun, a new dawn together.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
MUTA's ceramic products are handmade. After pouring mud water into a specially made plaster mold in the shape of the Buddha, the shape of the Buddha is drawn out, and then all parts, including the hair, face, and ears, are trimmed with a knife and smoothened with a brush. After drying for 7 to 10 days, it is first fired in a kiln at 800 degrees, polished again with fine sandpaper, then glazed with a brush two to three times and fired twice in a kiln at 1,250 degrees. All ceramic products require concentration and effort to produce the best results.
