04 MASK
a cat pretending to be a cow
People always say, "Why is he pretending?"
When I ask why you guys are whispering behind me, they say they're worried.
Who the hell is pretending to do it?
Didn't you pretend to know everything and do everything?
Take off that mask first.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
These days, more individuals are being attacked by social prejudice and conventional thinking.
This piece is a message to such attackers. You say they are "pretending to be nice." However, I would like to say that you are the one who wears the mask of "pretending to be on their side and pretending to know everything about them."
It is also helpful to directly comfort someone who is emotionally wounded. However, I thought finding out who was doing the attack and pointing out that it was their fault could be another way to help them overcome their pain. And I wanted to convey that I hope that those who are suffering because of this will stop self-censoring and become free in the future if they are 'sincere and not pretending'.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
MUTA's ceramic products are handmade. After pouring mud water into a specially made plaster mold in the shape of the Buddha, the shape of the Buddha is drawn out, and then all parts, including the hair, face, and ears, are trimmed with a knife and smoothened with a brush. After drying for 7 to 10 days, it is first fired in a kiln at 800 degrees, polished again with fine sandpaper, then glazed with a brush two to three times and fired twice in a kiln at 1,250 degrees. All ceramic products require concentration and effort to produce the best results.

- Glaze flow marks, small bubble marks, and small dots due to iron components are natural phenomena that occur during glaze and firing.
- In the case of ceramic supports, they may not be perfectly flat due to slight distortion during the high-temperature firing process.
- Pottery products can cause fine cracks on the surface as they are used.
- The above description is a natural phenomenon that occurs during the handmaid process, so it is not defective.
